◄ ◄ Return to News Articles

British Bottled Water Producers (BBWP) - the voice of small and medium sized water companies in the UK - is relaunching with a new logo, a totally revised website and  a new membership structure. These initiatives have already attracted additional members - Blue Keld, Love Water and Swithland Spring Water.

The trade association's new site www.britishbottledwater.org launches today.  It features information on healthy hydration, why buying British water is a positive move and includes detailed market information based on data from  Zenith international. The new site features attractive new sections showcasing members' brands.  There will also be advertising slots available to relevant companies including members.

Jo Jacobius, founder and director of British Bottled Water Producers, said: "We are delighted to welcome new member companies and of course proud to work with our splendid existing members, many of which have been with us from the start.  There is continuing interest by consumers in the provenance and source of foods and drinks, so it is a pleasure to be able to offer this renewed opportunity for British water brands to highlight their unique attributes".

The members are: Belu, Brecon Carreg, Celtic Vale, Hatterall Ridge, Iceni Waters, Lllanllyr Source, Princes Gate Spring, Shepley Spring, Blue Keld, Love Water and Swithland Spring.

Jo Jacobius added: "We are especially grateful to our webmaster, Steven Davies of Asylumedia, for creating both our new logo and the new website."

BBWP will continue to represent small and medium-sized British bottles to the media, DEFRA and other trade bodies.  Jo Jacobius is a member of the Cross-Parliamentary Hydration Forum, led by Baroness Sally Greengross, which is campaigning for better ways of ensuring correct hydration for older people, especially vulnerable elderly people.

The trend towards healthy eating and drinking means that more people are buying bottled water. We're mostly made of water. Water is life-giving and vital.

In the UK we now buy more than 2 billion litres a year. As we consume more water many people naturally want to know that the water they drink is free from unwanted additives; they want to identify the source of the water; and more and more Britons want to avoid unnecessary ‘food miles’.
