For Auction: 29 June 2017
The present owners of a unique site in North Wales are seeking to sell a borehole and surrounding land and buildings making this an ideal opportunity for a new bottled water company or an existing company wishing to purchase an additional site/borehole from which the buyer will be able to abstract water from a 51 metre borehole drawn through carboniferous sandstone, volcanic in origin.
This is a special and unique site of mystery and magical beauty with historical significance which could be utilised for positioning and marketing a new bottled water brand.
The borehole is licensed to abstract 43,800 cubic metres of water (43,800,000 litres) per year, although the source capacity is considerably higher.
There is an additional spring from a separate source/aquifer, issuing from an ancient wishing well. The rising water from the well which is recorded on early maps - overflows into a small rivulet and runs into an ancient plunge pool or potential spa pool.
Both sources of water are set in land with special features including ley lines crossing at the ancient well. A small scenic lake approx. 125 meters x 20 meters, with a stream running through it to the exit under the bridge where it enters a stone fish trap construction and out over the impressive waterfall. The lake to its western side has a pleasant area of lush grass. To its eastern side a backdrop of ancient woodland with Wellingtonia (red wood) and other mature specimen trees. The lake can be approached on foot or by vehicles over a hard-core road.
